At RentalsbyJasmine, we are dedicated to giving our customers a fair and enjoyable experience. You can hire our lovely garments or items but you need to take a look at our store policies detailed in our website to learn more, and reach out today with any questions. Here you will find our Hire Policy, Terms & Conditions as well as our Privacy Policy.
Hire Policy
Try-On appointments
​​Try-Ons are located in South Yarra, Victoria. A fee of $10 per person applies.
-
If you decide to book an item, the $10 fee will be credited towards your rental. All appointment fees made within a week of each other can be credited towards your rental. Appointments greater than a week apart will not be credited to the final rental.
-
Payment is required the day prior to your try-on appointment. Failure to make payment before the due date may result in a rescheduled appointment.
-
We require 24 hours notice for any cancellations to receive a full refund.
-
The maximum duration of a Try-On appointment is 15 minutes.
-
If you are running late to the Try-On appointment, we are unable to grant you extra time and this will be deducted from your 15 minutes.
-
If you miss the Try-On appointment, the $10 fee is not refundable, and you will be charged a further $10 fee to re-book another Try-On appointment.

You are more than welcome to bring friends and family but please note that if they too wish to try on a garment, they will be required to pay a $10 appointment fee (book here).

If during your Try-On appointment you damage or mark any Item, RentalsbyJasmine reserves the right to charge you a repair or replacement fee to cover the costs of restoring or replacing the Item/s.

If you pay the non-refundable fee, we may be able to hold the item for you before your appointment, if it’s available.
-
Interstate Try-Ons are not available.

Hire Price
-
The Hire Prices for all Items are always the current prices shown on the RentalsbyJasmine website, not on any other social media platform we advertise on (eg. Instagram) as the Hire Prices may differ.
-
All prices are inclusive of dry-cleaning fees.
-
RentalsbyJasmine reserves the right to change the Hire Prices at any time but rest assured, we will honour the Hire Prices shown on RentalsbyJasmine website at the time of booking check out.
-
All bookings are made either through one of our social's Direct Messaging (DM) platforms or via email communications after a Dress Hire Request has been submitted.
-
Please note your booking is not confirmed until full payment has been made and RentalsbyJasmine sends you written confirmation you have successfully secured the Item. Strictly no holds.
Hire Period
Our lovely Items are available for hire:
-
Midweek (Mon-Thurs) - Return due date for the Item will be by 5 pm the next business day after the event date specified in your booking; or
-
Weekend (Fri -Sun) – Return due date for the Item will be by 5 pm on Monday; or
-
For any other period – Only by agreement with RentalsbyJasmine and different rules apply.

Hire within Victoria
-
The Hire Period starts from when you pick up the Item from our nominated location until the Item is returned at our location.
-
All Items must be returned via drop off at our designated location NOT posted back unless we agree to a separate arrangement with you in writing.
Interstate Hire
-
All interstate hire will be via Express Post and you will be charged Shipping Fee of $25 (including a pre-filled return satchel).
-
You must seal the Item in the prepaid return envelope and hand the package over the counter at Australia Post. Do not place the prepaid return envelope in a post box.
-
You must take a photo of the lodgement receipt and send the photo to RentalsbyJasmine via email as confirmation the Item has been sent back. This must be done so before the following business day after your event.
-
The Item is not considered returned until we receive it.
-
The Shipping Fee is subject to change by RentalsbyJasmine without notice.
-
The Hire Period starts when we hand the Item to Australia Post until the Item is returned and received by RentalsbyJasmine.
-
Hiring interstate is done at your own risk. If the Item does not fit, you have a change of mind or the Item does not arrive in time, no refunds will be issued.
-
The estimated standard delivery time for Express Post is 1-2 business days but this depends on your location and the time you submitted your order.
-
We will endeavour to deliver the Item to you by the day before the event date specified in your booking. To avoid disappointment, ensure you have paid your invoice and provided the correct shipping address.

Bond
-
A bond of $150 will be charged at the time of booking.
-
You authorise RentalsbyJasmine to charge the Bond amount to the credit card provided at the time of booking on RentalsbyJasmine website.
-
The Bond will be returned via credit card when we receive the Item in a condition that aligns with our terms and conditions.
-
Bond returns can take between 5-10 business days dependent on your nominated bank.
-
If any of the Fees apply, you authorise RentalsbyJasmine to deduct the applicable Fees from the Bond before returning any balance. If the Fees owing to RentalsbyJasmine exceeds the Bond amount, you authorise RentalsbyJasmine to charge your credit card for the additional Fees.
Fees
You acknowledge and agree that below Fees may also apply:
Late Fee
A Late Fee of $50 per day will apply for each day after the rental due date until and including the date the Item is returned to RentalsbyJasmine.

For interstate rentals, late fees apply if confirmation of lodgment is not sent before the following business day after your event.
-
The Late Fee will be taken out of the Bond. If the Late Fee exceeds the Bond amount, you authorise RentalsbyJasmine to charge your credit card for the additional Late Fee.
-
For all pick-ups, if the Item is returned via third party delivery service (eg. Australia Post) without our written agreement, the Late Fee will continue to be charged until the Item is received by us.
Cleaning Fee
-
All Items must be returned in the same state that it was delivered by RentalsbyJasmine (unless otherwise agreed).
-
The Items are delicate and may require specific cleaning instructions.
-
You must not clean any Item (including spot cleaning to treat stains) under any circumstances. RentalsbyJasmine will take care of this for you.
-
The Hire Prices shown on RentalsbyJasmine website do not include the cleaning fee.
Extra Cleaning Fee
-
If the Item is returned heavily stained (ie makeup pilling, fake tan, perfume, oil), you authorise RentalsbyJasmine to deduct any Extra Cleaning Fees from the Bond.
-
If despite the extra cleaning, the Item cannot be restored to a reasonable condition where it can be re-hired, RentalsbyJasmine will consider the Item damaged and a Damage Fee will apply.
Damage Fee
-
RentalsbyJasmine considers an Item damaged if it is returned:
a) heavily stained (eg. makeup, pilling, fake tan, perfume, oil, blood, wine);
b) with pulls, rips, fabric damage or marks found on the Item;
c) with missing buttons, stones, embellishments or decorative items;
d) altered in anyway (including temporary changes); or
e) broken or incomplete.

If despite extra cleaning or repair the Item cannot be restored to a reasonable condition where RentalsbyJasmine can re-hire the Item, you will be required to pay a Damage Fee equivalent to 150% of the recommended retail price (RRP) of the Item.
-
You authorise RentalsbyJasmine to charge the Damage Fee to the credit card provided at the time of booking.
Lost Fee
-
If you do not return the Item within 7 days after the return due date, RentalsbyJasmine will consider the Item lost.
-
You will be required to pay a Lost Fee equivalent to 150% of the RRP of the Item.
-
You authorises RentalsbyJasmine to charge the Lost Fee less any Late Fees already paid to the credit card provided at the time of booking.
-
If the Item is subsequently returned to RentalsbyJasmine, we will agree to refund the Lost Fee less the Late Fee for each day after the return due date until and including the day the Item is returned to RentalsbyJasmine.
-
The balance Lost Fee will be refunded via credit card to you.
-
The Lost Fee is in addition to the Hire Price charged.

Cancellation Fee
-
RentalsbyJasmine does not charge any Cancellation Fee if you change your mind but you must notify us via email at least 7 days before your Hire Period starts.
-
If you cancel the order with less than 7 days notice, a Cancellation Fee of $50 will be charged.
-
You authorise RentalsbyJasmine to charge the Cancellation Fee to the credit card provided at the time of booking.

Cancellation Policy
1. Cancellation by Customer
-
RentalsbyJasmine does not offer any monetary refunds for change of mind, if the Item does not fit, is unsuitable or if your event is cancelled.
-
If you cancel the booking before the Item is dispatched or picked up, we will be happy to issue you with a store credit for the full value of what you paid less applicable Cancellation Fee. The store credit will be valid for 12 months from your original booking date. The bond will be returned to the card provided at checkout.
-
If you cancel the booking after the Item is dispatched or picked up, you will be charged the full Hire Price and any additional charges notified to you on RentalsbyJasmine website at the time of booking. No store credit will be issued.
2. Cancellation by RentalsbyJasmine
-
Sometimes RentalsbyJasmine may cancel or vary your order due to unforeseen events or if an item becomes unavailable.
-
We will contact you as soon as possible via the contact details you provide at the time of booking advising of the cancellation or unavailability of any Item.
-
If possible, we will offer you other suitable alternatives so you can continue to enjoy RentalsbyJasmine’s lovely range of Items.
-
If you decide not to proceed, we will cancel your order and issue a store credit for the full amount you paid and the bond will be returned to you through the card you provide at checkout.
-
If you decide to go with other alternatives, we will vary your order and adjust the Hire Price accordingly.
-
You will not be entitled to claim compensation for any loss, expense or inconvenience caused by RentalsbyJasmine’s cancellation or variation of your order. Instead, you will be issued with a store credit for the full value of what you paid which will be valid for 12 months from your original booking date.
Faulty or incorrect Item
-
If an Item dispatched to you is found to be faulty or incorrect, you must notify RentalsbyJasmine immediately at pickup or via email on the same day the Item is received together with a photo of the faulty or incorrect Item.
-
You must return the faulty or incorrect Item at our location or in the prepaid return Express Post envelope by the rental return date.
-
If possible, we will endeavour to provide you with a replacement or alternative Item as soon as possible.
-
If a replacement or alternative Item is not available, we will issue a store credit for the value of what you paid upon receipt of the faulty or incorrect Item by the rental return date.
Refunds & Store Credits
-
RentalsbyJasmine does not offer any monetary refunds. Excluding the following circumstances:
-
Return of bond payment.
-
Any separate arrangement that is agreed in writing.
-
If eligible, store credits will be issued for the value of what you paid less any Fees that may apply.
-
All store credits will be valid for 12 months from your original booking date.
-
Store credits are not transferable and cannot be resold.
-
Items already booked with a store credit cannot receive a new credit on that booking.
-
Store credits can only be applied to Hire Prices for Items and cannot be applied to Shipping Fee or any of the Fees set out in our terms and conditions.
-
RentalsbyJasmine reserves the right to cancel any store credits without notice or refund.
-
Promotional codes cannot be used in combination with store credits.

Credit Card Authority
-
By completing payment on your invoice, you acknowledge and confirm the preferred payment option is via credit card.
-
You as the Customer authorise RentalsbyJasmine to charge the amounts specified in our website in accordance with these terms and conditions.
-
You further acknowledge that a credit surcharge may apply and authorise RentalsbyJasmine to charge the surcharge to your credit card.
Liability
-
You must make your own assessment as to the condition, quality, value, suitability and fitness for the purpose of the Items offered by RentalsbyJasmine.
-
Once the Item has left our possession, it is your responsibility to look after and return the Item to RentalsbyJasmine in the same condition it was dispatched.
-
You will be liable to pay all costs and Fees outlined in our terms and conditions if any Item is not returned to RentalsbyJasmine in the same condition it was dispatched.

To the extent permitted by law,
-
​RentalsbyJasmine does not guarantee you will never have a problem with the Items or that the Item is perfect or will be delivered on time;
-
​RentalsbyJasmine does not accept any liability for any loss, expense or damage you may suffer however it arises;

RentalsbyJasmine will not be held liable for indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages arising out of the Items provided, or your use and access to RentalsbyJasmine’s website.

Any condition or warranty which would otherwise be implied in these terms and conditions is hereby excluded. If exclusion of any condition or warranty is not permitted by law, such condition or warranty will be deemed to be included in these terms and conditions and the liability of RentalsbyJasmine for a breach of such condition or warranty shall be limited, at our option, to one or more of the following:

the replacement of the Item with an equivalent or alternative Item;

the repair of the Item or payment of the cost of repairing the Item;
-
the issue of a store credit to the full value of what you paid;
-
the supply of the services again; or
-
the payment of having the services supplied again.

​If for any reason any exclusion or limitation contained in these terms and conditions is held to be invalid and to the extent that RentalsbyJasmine becomes liable for loss or damage that may lawfully be limited, then such liability shall not exceed an amount equal to the amount you paid.
